About Me:
I had my first weekly newspaper column at age 16. I spent 10 years in magazine publishing before I went into real estate. I LOVE working with words. I offer a very ecumenical approach to blog coaching and social media consultancy.
How long have you been in the Real Estate industry?
I bought my first home in 1977. I got a real estate license in 1985. I was an early adopter of real estate technology on the Internet. I was one of the first real estate bloggers to receive national attention early in 2005, with interviews in Investors’ Business Daily, BusinessWeek Online, Inman News, REALTOR® Magazine, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. I was founding editor of RealTown.com and worked as Community Manager of Trulia.com. I appeared on the 2008 list of 50 Most Influential Women in Real Estate in the U.S. and on the 2009 MVP List of 25 MOST CONNECTED people in the real estate industry.
What got you into Real Estate?
I bought a home in Pennsylvania. The REALTOR who sold me the home impressed and inspired me. I am impressed and inspired by professionalism. That Realtor became my broker, my friend, and my mentor.
What niche do you target?
I work with business people who want to make a quantum leap in online communication and offline correspondence. We work with blogs, websites, sales letters, and designing social media engagement plans.
When you're not working you are...
Reading, baking the BEST bread, making the BEST soup, playing "Settlers of Cattan" with family and friends, listening to music, creating memories.
Where did you grow up?
Paramus, New Jersey. I left New Jersey in 1985 ... You can take the girl out of New Jersey, but you can't take New Jersey out of the girl. Watch out! ;-)
What topics are you interested in learning more about?
Eastern philosophy, Irish history.
What are your current marketing strategies?
I use online marketing strategies, including e-mail and various social networks to share lots of knowledge, tips, and ideas to help people be more successful. My goal is to share more than anyone else.
